Open for business — LG’s air-conditioning training academy at Slough.

LG has opened its new air-conditioning academy at Slough to installers and distributors. At a recent open day, key customers were given the opportunity to view LG’s new Multi V III product range and hear about the company’s new 5-year product warranty. The Academy is equipped with working models of the Multi V III, Therma V and Eco V — as well as LG’s CAC and RAC ranges.

Installers attending the free training courses will be able to gains hand-on practical experience of product and catch up on theory. Each training course will cater for up to 20 people at a time, with about 350 people expected each year.

The 5-year warranty will apply to equipment supplied and fitted by LG approved installers who will have attended the company’s technical, installation and service training and reached a standard enabling them to undertake their own Multi V commissioning

Nick Ryman, LG UK air-conditioning and energy-solutions general manager, says, ‘The development of our new academy demonstrates LG’s commitment to improving and developing installer skills and ensuring reliability and customer satisfaction with our projects.

‘Response from the open day has been phenomenal, with initial bookings for our installer training programmes very encouraging. This just goes to prove how proactive and professional the UK air-conditioning industry is.’
