Chilled beams respond to occupancy levels

Flakt Woods’ WEGA chilled beam uses demand-controlled ventilation to save the energy normally used in ventilating unoccupied spaces or overcooling rooms. Variable air volume optimises ventilation to suit the average occupancy, which varies from 35 to 55% during normal office hours. Up to 60% savings in fan energy consumption are indicated.

These units can be installed in ceiling systems, and their dimensions enable them to be put into the T-24 profile ceiling. Other ceiling systems can be catered for. WEGA units are available in heights of 250 and 152 mm, making them ideal for refurbishment projects.

Options include heating coil, electric heating, energy control, flow-pattern control, and control and regulation equipment.
