Energy-recovery ventilation units

Flakt Woods, energy recovery ventilation unit

Fläkt Woods has extended its range of energy-recovery ventilation units with the addition of the e3coStar. There are six models with flow rates from 80 to 1000 l/s and specific fan powers as low as 0.17 W/l/s. These cost-effective units use Eurovent-certified aluminium heat exchangers to provide efficiencies of up to 70%. Additional benefits include very low noise levels (thanks to 25 mm of mineral-wool insulation), user-friendly plug-and-play controls, and fans with EC motors for reduced energy consumption.

Preset controls enable engineers to quickly configure airflow modulation and optimise energy usage. Energy-saving functions include night-cooling, frost protection, temperature control and low-temperature defrost.

Controls have full BMS capability via an open-table Modbus protocol.

There is a condensate drain on the side of these units, and all models have an integrated 100% bypass damper for the heat exchanger.

There are three variants. The entry level e3ssential has factory-fitted plate heat exchanger and filters. The e3nhanced also has a water or electric post heater. The e3lite has an integrated electric preheaters.
