Fan-coil units designed to meet demands of hotel rooms

Trane has introduced a fan-coil unit that is suited to the requirements of the hotel market. Special attention has been paid to reducing noise levels with high levels of acoustic insulation and selecting an air-distribution grille to maintain a low noise level. Capacities of the HFH fan-coil unit range from 0.8 to 5 kW, covering hotel rooms from 10 to 60 m2. The level of fresh air is set by the installer. There are two levels of control. The more sophisticated version can simultaneously control the supply-air temperature as well as the room temperature. The use of the LonTalk open protocol enables fan-coil units to be turned off in rooms that are not occupied.
