Briggs & Forrester continues its investment in youth

Building–services contractor Briggs & Forrester has a long-term commitment to training and development. Its latest intake of trainees includes 12 at the head office in Northampton and a further three at the offices in Hitchin and London. Mike Stanton, chairman of Briggs & Forrester, says, ‘We have an established people-orientated culture within the business, and a great deal of investment is made in our human resources. ‘Every year, we make significant investment in recruiting and technical apprentices and supporting them through their college, site and office training. We are currently supporting over 30 trainees through their four years of training, and in this way we can be confident that we have the necessary skilled staff to undertake projects ranging for complex, multi-service installations with values up to £15 million, through to much smaller single-service projects and the trained staff in our accounts, procurement and administration departments to support them.’
