Ballast boosts efficiency of metal-halide lamps

Venture Lighting, ballast

Venture Lighting’s Global Ballast (VGB) brings a higher level of control to metal-halide lighting and reduces energy consumption by up to 70%. The highest performance is achieved when used with Venture’s pulse-start metal-halide lamps.

The VGB has integrated DALI functionality and is compatible with all widely available sensors and controls — offering the option of simple switch dimming or 1 to 10 V variable dimming in response to daylight and occupancy.

This ballast incorporates a number of micro-processor-controlled features to ensure stable and reliable performance. They include thermal protection with dynamic circuit maintenance and fast protective lamp ignition with enhanced strike-restrike times.
