Evinox plays key role in regeneration project

The link between homes and district-heating system in this major regeneration project is being provided by Evinox heat-interface units with built-in energy meters.

Evinox ModuSat heat-interface units will provide the link between homes in a major regeneration projects at Myatts Field North in Lambeth and an energy centre that includes CHP. The plan is to reduce carbon emissions by 80%. The regeneration project will have 980 homes, compared to 477 on the existing estate.

E.ON is providing the district-heating network using an energy centre located in an existing ‘submarine’ structure to supply LPHW for space heating and DHW. The Evinox units will remove the requirement for individual boilers and a gas supply in each home.

This 25-year PFI project is being built by the Regenter Myatts Field North consortium, which comprises Regenter, Higgins Construction, Rydon Maintenance, Pinnacle PSG and E.ON.

Each ModuSat unit incorporates an energy meter to monitor and record consumption, so that residents pay only for the energy they use.
