Simple PC access to a DALI lighting control network is provided by this USB connection from Helvar.

Helvar’s 510 USB-DALI module offers a convenient way for programmers to connect a PC to a DALI network for controlling lighting. Ideal for large commercial applications with multiple DALI devices, the 510 is compatible with Helvar’s Toolbox programming software for speedy commissioning and set up. Complementing its capabilities is the 318 PIR wall-mounted absence/presence detector.

The 510 unit can be installed in a single backbox frame or into a double box frame to provide space for two further modules from the Helvar range, including the 318 detector. The module connects via a standard USB/mini-B cable. Both devices will automatically register on a DALI network.

Peter Rowledge, UK sales manager, says, ‘With the growing popularity of DALI, these latest additions to the Digidim range will expand the appeal further. The 510 module is a much needed USB port for swift PC connection to a DALI network, and the 318 gives us a wall-mounted PIR sensor option that fills a gap in our range.’
