Grundfos App shows how to upgrade pump heads

Grundfos, Grundfos Pumps

Grundfos has embraced augmented reality (AR) to help explain the installation and features of its UPS2 pump head. Designed not only to meet the energy requirements of EuP 2013 legislation but also exceeding legislation due in 2015, this compact pump head offers a fast and energy-efficiency solution to upgrading or replacing pumps in restricted spaced such as in boilers or preplumbed cylinders.

AR technology uses a combination of 3D animation and a camera or smart device to enable interaction with a virtual product.

Where the pump base is in good condition, only the pump head needs to be replaced. The UPS2 pump head is compatible with all Alpha, Alpha Pro, Alpha+ and UPS 15-50, 15-60, 4 m, 5 m and 6 m variants.

The cable gland is the same as the UPS, minimising wiring time, and dimensions are almost identical to the UPS.

This App is optimised for iPhone 4+ and iPad2+
