Daikin adds renewable capability to VRV IV

Daikin Europe has developed a low-temperature (LT) Hydrobox for the latest generation of VRV heat pumps, which offers all the benefits of air-to-air VRV technology with the ability to integrate an air-to water system to provide highly efficient space heating and cooling. This Hydrobox indoor unit is specifically designed to work with VRV IV, a key feature of which is to automatically adjust output in response to changes in external temperature.

The LT Hydrobox delivers water from 5 to 45°C, without the need for a back-up electric heater, for use in underfloor heating, air-handling units, low-temperature radiators or fan-convector units. It can operate with outdoor temperatures from -20 to +43°C.

All the water-side components are integrated in the Hydrobox, which also gives direct control over the hot-water temperature.
