Maintaining fluid performance in solar thermal systems

Sentinel, solar thermal, renewable energy
Sentinel offers thermal fluids to keep solar thermal systems clean and protect against low temperatures.

Sentinel has developed a cleaner for the circuits in solar-thermal systems that helps to make soluble and remove degraded glycol from existing systems. Once cleaned, an effective way of ensuring optimum efficiency and resistance to degradation is to use an inhibited fluid.

Where degradation has occurred, 20 minutes’ cleaning with Sentinel’s R200 cleaner, particularly when use with the Sentinel SolarFlush unit, will disperse and remove deposits from the system and prepare it for the addition of fresh thermal fluid, such as Sentinel 100.

This fluid is specifically formulated for solar heating equipment and gives frost protection down to -25°C. It is resistant to degradation, provides corrosion protection for system metals and contains chemically and thermally stable components.
