Low-flush toilet pan can be installed anywhere

Propelair, low flush toilet, WC

Propelair has developed a toilet pan and flushing system that uses compressed air and just 1.5 l of water for flushing. It was launched at Ecobuild and has WRAS and British Standard Kitemark product approvals. Propelair can be installed anywhere, as it does not rely on gravity drains and sloping waste pipes. It is shown pictured with its inventor Garry Moore.

The product is on show at the Building Centre in London.

The seat and lid are closed before flushing. The pan is first washed with 0.5 l of water. Compressed air is then used to clear the pan, which is then refilled with a litre of water.

An electrical supply is required, which can be 24 V dc or mains.
