SES on track with station contract win

SES, contractor

Shepherd Engineering Services is to be responsible for building-services work for the £25 million transformation of Haymarket Station in Edinburgh to create an integrated transport hub linking train, tram, bus and taxi services. The Glasgow office will be responsible for the project, which requires the station to remain live at all times.

Colin Walker, regional director, says, ‘I am confident that our in-house prefabrication and modularisation capability Prism will come to the fore. It means that we can fully test the building-services modules before they are installed, ensuring we get it right first time.’

The project combines refurbishment of the original listed building and an extension to create a new concourse and platform improvements.
