Panasonic’s 3-pipe heat-recovery ECOi MF2 VRF air-conditioning range has a choice of five outdoor units with different capacities from a standardised compact case. Significant development has taken place to optimise thermal transfer. Refrigerant pipework has been specially designed to maximise the airflow profile within the heat exchanger, providing an even distribution of thermal energy.

Using R410A with a low pressure loss enables pipe sizes for discharge, suction and liquid to be reduced. A maximum distance of 180 m from the outdoor unit to the furthest indoor unit can be achieved.

A COP of 4.77 can be achieved for 8 hp outdoor units. Maximum capacity is 48 hp, and simultaneous heating and cooling can be provided for up to 52 indoor units.
