Flakt Woods fire damper meets higher standards

Flakt Woods, fire damper

The ETPR-E-1 range of fire and smoke dampers from Flakt Woods is based on the MFD-17 model The new design incorporates additional insulation on the damper blade to meet the smoke-leakage air-tightness requirements of Class E 60 S, as specified in EN 13501-3. The damper also achieves the requirements of tightness class C of EN 1751 and upcoming changes to the Construction Products Regulation, providing it with the CE Mark.

These dampers have a fusible link and spring mechanism as standard; an electrical actuator is optional. Fire resistance has been tested according to BS 746, retaining integrity for 130 min.

They can be installed in vertical and horizontal ducting. Type approval is fire class EI 90, and these dampers can be installed into building elements of the same class without the need for a mounting frame.

Duct diameters range from 100 to 500 mm. An access panel is not required for testing or resetting.
