Hot water for this Premier Inn in Brighton is now provided by Andrews gas-fired storage water heaters.

The refurbishment of the DHW system of the Premier Inn in the centre of Brighton is based on Andrews Maxxflow gas-fired storage water heaters. They were selected and installed by Whitbread’s (which runs Premier Inns) nationwide maintenance contractor Norton Commercial Gas Services to replace existing units located on the outside of the building.

The four new units are in a plant room on the top floor. There are four heaters, each with a storage capacity of 200 l, outputs from 26 to 122 kW and a recovery rate of 2040 l/h through 50 K.

The hotel has 160 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms.

To minimise disruption to guests, the water heaters and new pipework in the plant room were installed before the system was drained and connections made to the existing distribution system.

A digital electronic master controller operates the pre-mix fully modulating gas burners.
