Danfoss launches range of rotary control valves

Danfoss, rotary control valve, space heating

Danfoss’s RVA range of 3- and 4-way rotary valves are available in cast iron and DZR brass to regulate flow in light-commercial heating systems. They have a position indicator, ergonomically designed handle and low internal leakage; figures for the RVA 3-way brass valves are 0.02% of flow (diverting) and 0.05% of flow (mixing). In developing the RVA range, Danfoss recognised that many installers like the option of brass or cast-iron rotary valves.

To assist installation and commissioning, each valve has a position indicator that is visible from the top or side, with or without the actuator mounted.

Marketing director Bjorn Sejr Nielsen comments, ‘Although cast iron has been the traditional type of rotary valve, there’s been a move towards brass in recent years. Lots of older heating systems will have cast-iron valves, so our new RVA cast-iron products offer installers a simple energy-saving upgrade for existing systems without the need for alterations to pipework.’
