VRF for smaller air-conditioning systems

Sanyo
Designed for smaller VRF air-conditioning systems with up to 10 indoor units is Sanyo’s ECOi Mini range.
Sanyo has added a small, 2-pipe heat pump VRF system to its ECOi Mini range of small-capacity air-conditioning systems. There are three models in the range, with cooling capacities from 11 to 15.5 kW. Up to 10 indoor units can be connected to a single-phase condensing unit. With an indoor diversity ratio of 130% and a maximum pipe separation of 150 m, a single 6 hp ECOi Mini could cool 10 hotel bedrooms with a 2 kW heat load. This range uses DC inverter technology and R410A refrigerant to achieve a Category A efficiency label, with the 4 hp model having a COP of 4.06 in cooling and 4.34 in heating. These units qualify for Enhanced Capital Allowances.
