Direct replacements for air-handling units

Weatherite Manufacturing, AHU, refurbishment, air handling unit

Weatherite Manufacturing has produced a brochure highlighting its capabilities for the direct replacement of old and inefficient air-handling units. This approach reduces capital expenditure and provides improved reliability and longevity of an existing system.

The current economic climate and forthcoming ban on R22 for maintenance has led to increased interest in Weatherite’s direct-replacement capabilities as existing AHUs come to the end of their useful lives.

Replacing old AHUs with bespoke direct-replacement units that fit directly into the footprint of the old units minimises disruption and has long-term benefits. Replacement units incorporate the latest technology — including high-efficiency fans, EC motors, variable-speed drives, high-efficiency scroll compressors, IE2 motors and the latest integrated control systems.
