McQuay launches range of R410A heat pumps

McQuay UK has launched a range of R410A reverse-cycle air-cooled heat pumps with scroll compressors and offering cooling capacities from 164 to 624 kW. ACZH heat pumps can function in cooling mode at ambient temperatures from -10 to +46°C and in heating mode down to -17°C.

Using scroll compressors and axial fans enables these units to achieve Class A efficiency in heating mode, with COPs up to 3.3. EER for cooling is up to 3.04 and the ESEER (seasonal) is up to 4.74 on the reduced-sound version.

Three sound levels are available: standard; low sound, with a compressor sound cabinet; and reduced sound, combining the low-sound version with a lower fan speed.

There are two independent refrigerant circuits. The units are controlled by the MicroTech III for easy integration with building-management systems via a number of protocols.

The hydraulic module incorporates an optional factory-mounted single or twin pump and option 100 or 1000 l buffer tanks.
