Micro-wave detector offers flexible control

CP Electronics’ MWS6 mid-range micro-wave presence/absence detector is now available as a surface-mounted version. It has a low-profile design and small dimensions. It can be used for the automatic control of heating, ventilation and lighting.

Using a simple plug-in connection, these self-contained units detect movement via a highly sensitive microwave sensor that emits low-power microwave signals and measures the reflections as the signals bounce off moving objects.

A detector back box makes installation quick and easy.

Various options are available. A switching detector offers manual on/off over-ride via a switch input. There is also a time-delay function and programming via CP’s infra-red remote hand sets.

Dimming detectors for lighting offer 2-channel flexibility, step-down illuminance, a burn-in feature for fluorescent tubes, response to daylight levels and manual dimming with infra-red or switch inputs.
