Integrated heating and cooling unit for AHUs

Flakt Woods’ Recooler HP integrated heating and cooling units are designed as an integral component for the company’s air-handling units. They incorporate a reversible heat pump and energy-recovery wheel to provide benefits such as quick and simple installation, extremely high efficiencies and year-round energy efficiency.

Using a DC inverter scroll compressor Recooler HP units can achieve a COP of up to 6.5 and full control of output from 10 to 100%. There are five sizes of unit with cooling capacities (rotor and compressor) from 35 to 125 kW and heating capacities (rotor and compressor) from 21 to 57 kW.

The integral energy-recovery wheel can achieve an efficiency of over 83%.

The all-in-one compact design does not require additional chillers, boilers or the installation of any pipework. A unit is ready to operate once electrical connections have been made.
