UV water treatment has WRAS approval

Xylem, UV water treatment, WRAS

The Aquada UV Series of water-disinfection units from Xylem Water Systems now has WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) Approval, so it meets all criteria for water disinfection set out by UK water companies.

The system is effective at inactivating viruses, bacteria, parasites and other micro-pollutants that cannot be removed with simpler filtering technologies.

The UV light technology used does not form any by-products that might be a health hazard, nor does it affect the natural taste and smell of the water.

There are five sizes and three specification levels. Applications include residential treatment plants, rainwater harvesting and air-conditioning units.
