Air conditioning boosts comfort in chiropractic clinic

One aspect of comfort in this chiropractic clinic in Wilton is taken care of by a Carrier XPower air-conditioning system.
Environmental comfort for patients of a chiropractic clinic in Wilton has been improved following the installation of a Carrier XPower system. The practice is based in a small historic building in the centre of Wilton. It is of predominantly wooden construction and retains heat. Comfort cooling was decided on to improve conditions for patients in the treatment room and the reception area. Ian Willis of installer Domair recommended one of the latest Carrier XPower models — a twin split system with indoor units mounted high up the wall. The single outdoor unit is driven by inverter technology, so that it requires only a single-phase electrical supply. The system also incorporates air filtration to remove pollens and other allergens. XPower systems also qualify for Enhanced Capital Allowances. Because of the building’s size, shape and fabric, pipework had to be surface-mounted within trunking. The external unit is mounted almost at ground level on cantilever brackets in a small, shared courtyard. It is exceptionally quiet, and there have been no complaints from neighbours about noise.
