Heat-pump package generates domestic hot water

heat pump
This package of heat pump and storage calorifier produces hot water with a COP of 3.3.
By combining an air-to-water heat pump with a storage calorifier, a domestic-hot-water package from Clyde Combustions produces hot water with a coefficient of performance of 3.3. The D-tube condenser is wrapped around the outside of the 270 litre vessel and brings boiled refrigerant from the evaporator to heat the stored water. An electric immersion heater is included, and there are two auxiliary coils inside the vessel for connecting to other heat sources.
