Indirect adiabatic AHU for data centres
Airedale International’s Aireflow air-handling unit is designed to provide adiabatic cooling for data centres. It is an indirect system, eliminating the risk of contaminated air entering the data centre. The use of fresh air as the main cooling source significantly reduces operational costs.
Based on ambient temperatures in London, Aireflow units could achieve ASHRAE conditions using 100% free cooling. Indirect cooling solutions also reduce the dependency on back-up mechanical cooling required to prevent contaminated ambient air permeating the data centre. There is therefore no need for internal air-conditioning units.
Aireflow units are in five footprints between 100 and 440 kW, with two case sizes, depending on whether a roof- or wall-mounted connection is required.
