New college shows the way in teaching

The architectural design for this newly completed futuristic building for Stephenson College in Leicestershire has been shortlisted for ‘Building of the year’ in the ProCon Leicestershire Property Awards. The £15 million ‘statement building’ is designed to embrace the latest thinking on teaching environments. Mike Pole, designer with Pick Everard, said, ‘We’ve designed a stimulating and innovative learning environment and an efficient building specifically designed for its purpose, in a landscape setting that reflects the forward thinking and dynamic nature of the institution. The college is to be commended for its bold and coherent vision. We are delighted to have been able to bring it to life.’
