A major project for Sanha press fittings— the student union building at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Sanha’s pressfitting pipe system has been used in Manchester Metropolitan University’s new student-union facility. The 3-storey building includes a bar and restaurant, café and five separate bathroom facilities. Over 3000 m of pipe was installed by CM Oxendale Ltd, including Sanha’s stainless-steel gas pipes up to 108 mm and copper pressfittings up to 108 mm.

Paul Towler, a director with CM Oxendale, said, ‘We have used Sanha in past projects, which is the reason for specifying them again this time. It was up to us to specify the components, and we decided to go with Sanha because we have a great working relationship with the team and their products.’

The integrity of all the press connections was guaranteed after an initial training programme with Oxendale’s fitters. This training is provided free and delivered on site by an experienced and knowledgeable Sanha sales manager.

Although a routine project, it was quite a large installation that required a reliable pipes and fittings system.
