Edinburgh plans unveiled

Edinburgh Marina, Granton Central Developments

Developers have submitted their master plan for Edinburgh Marina. It includes a 400-berth marina, residential, retail and a spa hotel. It will deliver new homes for over 4000 people and up to 700 local employment opportunities.

The residential content of the development is virtually unchanged from the previously approved plans, but now provides a significantly greater offering of family-sized housing for rent.

There will be 9220 m2 of new retail space and 4220 m2 of leisure space.

A spokesman for the developers, Granton Central Developments, said, ‘We are very pleased with the way in which our development plans have been supported by the local community, and we look forward to starting work on this exciting project in 2015.’
