Xylem pumps achieve better energy efficiency

Xylem, Lowara, pump

Xylem’s latest generation of inline and end-suction pumps exceed the European Ecodesign requirements that came into effect on 1 January 2015. The new Lowara e-series provides significantly improved energy savings of up to 23%. Its expanded and optimised hydraulic coverage makes these pumps suitable for a much wider range of HVAC applications.

The new series includes the e-NSC end-suction pumps, the e-LNE vertical inline pumps and the e-SH (pictured) stainless-steel end-suction pumps. These models are supplied with IE3 high-efficiency motors.

These pumps can be supplied with a optional Xylem Hydrovar variable-speed drive. These drives are mounted on the motor and automatically adjust pump speed to optimise system efficiency — achieving an additional reduction in energy costs of up to 70%, depending on the application.
