Cooling for mobile networks

Emerson Network Power has added 5 and 6 kW models to the Liebert Hiross range of Hiwall TT packaged air conditioners. The range provides cooling capacities form 5 to 21 kW and aims to give a complete solution to mobile network cooling problems. Designed for outdoor installation, these direct expansion units have a built-in air-cooled condenser and air output from the top, which is suited to the specialist cooling requirements of mobile telecommunication sites. They have low noise levels. Features include free cooling so that outdoor air is used to cool the site when weather conditions permit to significantly reduce running costs. Emergency cooling served by a 48 V supply from batteries maintains conditions during a power failure. The robust steel cabinet is protected by vandal-proof screws and optimised for reliable operation, even in extreme environments.
