Simplifying the installation of lighting and electrical services for the Canadian High Commission is Wieland Electric’s Metalynx2 structure wiring system.

Wieland Electric’s Metalynx2 structured wiring system was the preferred choice to connect power and lighting at the refurbished Canadian High Commission building in London. The refurbishment includes a complete new lighting system and is the amalgamation of two buildings occupied by the Canadian High Commission.

The power and lighting systems were installed by Bancroft, which specified the Metalynx2 armoured cabling system, which allowed for home runs to continue along the ceiling power-containment route.

Fan-coil units and lighting-control modules are fed using Wieland’s extenders, tees and fused spurs.

The pluggable functionality of Metalynx2 maximised productivity on site as the pre-wired pre-tested system is made at Wieland’s factory so that on-site installation time simply involves plugging the system together.
