Daikin launches range of air-handling units

Daikin Applied, AHU, air handling unit, ventilation, air conditioning

Daikin Applied (UK) has launched a range of ‘plug-and-play’ air-handling units. The D-AHU Modular range comes in predefined sizes and offers airflows from 500 to 25 000 m3/h. The company was previously known as McQuay UK.

These air-handling units incorporate energy recovery and controls for temperature air quality and humidity. The fans have IE4 motors with EC speed control. Other features of these AHUs include smooth internal surfaces and a laminar straightener to reduce noise.

Settings for airflow and time can be programmed before delivery. The controller can display real-time information such as air flow, temperature and CO2 levels.

D-AHU Modular units are compatible with Daikin’s intelligent Touch Manager (iTM), a user-friendly interface that displays the control of various set points. An iTM can act as a small building-management system; it can interact with all Daikin equipment and other third-party systems.
