Fan convector has high output and low surface temperature
The LST fan convector — the surface temperature of Biddle’s Forceflow does not exceed 43°C.
A low-surface-temperature (LST) fan convector has been developed by Biddle Air Systems in response to customer demands for a fan convector with a surface temperature no greater than 43°C. Traditional fan convectors can have a surface temperature greater than 50°C and are designed to distribute heat rapidly throughout a room. If LST radiators are used, there may not be enough wall space to install all the radiators required. Biddle’s Forceflow LST gives all the benefits of a traditional fan convector, while maintaining a surface temperature not exceeding 43°C, including the discharge grille. With a heat output of 10 kW at NR35, the heat output per metre length of Forceflow LST is over double equivalent LST radiators. The heat-output and surface-temperature performance has been verified by BSRIA. This LST fan convector complies with the 1998 NHS Estates Health Guidance Note ‘Safe hot water and surface temperatures’.
