Grundfos helps Alder Hey enter a new era

Grundfos Pumps, booster, circulating pump

The building-services systems of the new £237 million Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool includes over 70 Grundfos speed-controlled pumps and booster sets, as well as pressurisation units and ancillary equipment. The system is supported by BACnet technology, a communications protocol used by building-management systems worldwide.

Grundfos was involved in the specification and supply of these pumps and has worked with Alder Hey for many years. It was one of the first sites to install Grundfos Magna pumps in 2002.

The hospital was founded in 2014 and now cares for 270 000 young people and their families each year.
