Condensing boilers have stainless-steel heat exchangers

Viessman Vitoden 200
Just above the nearer sink is Viessmann’s Vitodens 200 condensing boiler with stainless-steel heat exchanger.
Viessmann has made a clear entry into the mainstream UK domestic-boiler market with the launch of the Vitodens 200 range of condensing boilers. Two models are available, a combination and a system boiler. Both have modulating outputs from 8 to 26 kW and efficiencies of 96% (SEDBUCK A). In response to installers’ concerns about the service life of condensing boilers, the entire heat-exchanger assembly from the burner ot the flue takeoff is in stainless steel. There is the choice of fixed flow temperature or a Vitotronic control that can increase condensing performance using weather and room-temperature information. Also recently launched are the Vitodens 300 and 333 boilers. The 300 gives outputs up to 66 kW and can be installed with a cascade controller in modules of up to four boilers — making it suitable for many smaller commercial projects. The 333 is a combination boiler with built-in hot-water store of up to 85 litres, boosting performance for larger houses with multiple hot-water outlets — usually a problem for conventional combis. info-uk@viessmann.com
