Trox enhances its paint lines

paint line
A £250 000 investment by Trox in rebuilding and refurbishing its powder-coating plant at Thetford enables one of the two lines to accommodate products up to 5 m long in a huge variety of colours. This line can handle virtually all types of multi-service chilled beam. The other line concentrates on commodity items such as grilles and diffusers. The upgraded paint plant consists of a 5-stage pre-treatment plant, a drying oven, powder-coating booths and a curing oven. Phil Wilson, Trox’s production engineering manager, says, ‘By upgrading the paint plant and taking first-hand control of all our painting work, we have increased reliability in production and delivery, boosted quality and lowered our costs, which we can now pass on.’
