Grundfos brews up energy savings

Grundfos Pumps, energy saving, diagnostic tools

An energy check carried out by Grundfos Pumps for a well-known name in the brewery industry showed a potential energy saving of nearly 150 MWh could be achieved by changing just two pumps. The payback period was just six months.

The pumps were replaced with two Grundfos NB65-200 single-stage stand bloc pumps. A particular benefit for this project is that the pumps can be automatically slowed down at weekends when production is lower to save energy.

Grundfos provides a range of diagnostic tools that will establish the performance of a pump system. Post-analysis reports include details of the potential savings and payback periods as well as pump options.
