Logical development — Kevin Sargeant’s view of Vent-Axia’s acquisition of the ventilation division of Baxi Clean Air Systems.
Vent-Axia has acquired the ventilation division of Baxi Clean Air Systems for an undisclosed sum, further strengthening its position as a single-source provider of ventilation, heating and air-conditioning solutions. The Baxi acquisition is said to directly complement Vent-Axia’s expertise in the design, manufacture, supply and installation of centralised ventilation and heat-recovery systems. Kevin Sargeant, managing director of Vent-Axia, says, ‘Tighter Building Regulations and an ever-sharper focus on environmental issues mean that this is one of the fastest growing sectors in the domestic-ventilation market. The acquisition of Baxi Clean Air Systems is a logical development of a very productive relationship with Baxi. Over recent years, Vent-Axia initiatives have already achieved significant sales for Vent-Axia branded products in Europe and Japan, and Baxi Clean Air Systems is an excellent fit for our long-term strategy.’ Manufacture of the products of Baxi Clean Air Systems will be moved from Padiham in Lancashire to the main Vent-Axia factory at Crawley in West Susses. Personnel expertise in sales, service and installation will be maintained. info@vent-axia.com
