Vent-Axia marks 80 years of innovation

Ventilation specialist Vent-Axia marked its 80th anniversary with the burying of a time capsule to be opened in 80 years’ time in 2096. Managing director Mark Hoskins (left in picture) attributes the company’s success to a continuous process of innovation. He said, ‘To still be going after 80 years is a major achievement in itself, but to still be a leading brand name after 80 years is truly incredible.’

Indeed, Vent-Axia was named as a UK Business (B2B) Superbrand for 2016 following independent research commissioned by The Centre for Brand Analysis.

Reflecting the focus on innovation is new products having sales figures three times the average of existing products in the catalogue.

Products launch during the last year include the Sentinel Kinetic Advance mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, the Lo Carbon Revive fan designed specifically for the social-housing sector and the Lo-Carbon Svara app-controlled bathroom fan — which is included in the time capsule.

Local MP Henry Smith (centre and next to the Mayor of Crawley Councillor Raj Sharma) said, ‘I am thrilled that Vent-Axia, a locally based world-class company, is celebrating its 80th anniversary. Vent-Axia has met the challenges at each stage of its eight decades and built upon them and become even better.’
