BCIA develops series of CPD-accredited controls courses

The Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) has developed a suite of six courses aimed at building-services professionals looking to expand their knowledge of controls. The first two are ‘Fundamentals of HVAC and building technology’ and ‘Measuring and control technology’. There are also courses on ‘Hydraulics in building services’, ‘Control function of heating plants’, ‘Control of ventilation and air conditioning’ and ‘Refrigeration technology’.

Malcolm Anson, president of the BCIA, says, ‘Building controls are the way forward to improve the energy efficiency and performance of buildings. The BCIA believes that through its training programme, individuals will gain the knowledge and understanding they need to be able to tackle the ongoing challenges arising in the built environment.’

These courses are CPD accredited by CIBSE and take place at training centres in Peterborough, Redbridge and Rotherham.
