JS Wright rises high in the city

Building services provide JS Wright has secured a contract worth more than £2 million to fit out one of Birmingham’s tallest residential buildings.

The company has been commissioned by Wates Construction to equip the 31-storey building at The Bank development on Broad Street for Regal (West Point).

J S Wright will design and install all the mechanical services for the building’s 205 high-quality apartments including boosted cold water and domestic hot water services supplied through electric water heaters.

JS Wright will also provide an energy saving heat recovery ventilation system, water sprinklers, above-ground drainage and a building management controls system.

The iconic 16,055 sq m structure is nine storeys higher than its neighbouring building, which is already in the process of being equipped by J S Wright. When complete, the taller building will feature ground floor retail space open to the public.
