Pump House

Pump House recently supplied a number of its flat roof plant support frames to the Richmond Education and Enterprise Campus development on Egerton Road in Twickenham, West London. The 20,000 sqm, 3-storey development was overseen by Willmott Dixon Construction, working with ECE Architecture. CMB Engineering (Cardiff) the mechanical contractor on the project, selected Flexi Support Systems from Pump House to support a number of rooftop air-handling units and chillers. A combination of flexi modular light and heavy duty frameworks were chosen to support a variety of services ranging in different sizes and weights.

Pump House provided appropriate support frameworks, to safely manage the imposed loads from the services being supported, back down to the roof finishes beneath the frames.

All flexi frames are fully adjustable, due to their M24 adjustable leg assemblies supplied as standard. On heavier services Pump House uses its larger 500mm2 support feet. Pump House carries out a load management review of all services that are being supported on our frameworks. This information is then passed onto the project team on site to review, prior to delivering the support solutions.

The flexible nature of Pump House systems combined with even load distribution through its non-penetrative feet, provides the simplest and most cost effective alternative to conventional concrete plinth supports.
