Skills development

SummitSkills, the sector skills council for building-services engineering, has produced a free interactive DVD to support Scottish companies in developing their businesses through skills. It includes generic material that is applicable to all businesses in the country and also material that is specific to building-services engineering. There are film clips and case studies from employers in the industry, information on how trade associations and training providers can help and links to useful partners. Keith Marshall, chief executive of SummitSkills, comments, ‘There are a great number of firms that are already benefiting from enhancing their businesses through staff development. This DVD profiles just some of these companies, so other can discover how investment in skills can benefit them.’ Tel. 01908 303960
