GSH breaks charity record

GSH’s most successful charity event to date has resulted in £18 500 being shared between the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and the Donna Louise Trust, a children’s hospice service in the North West. The money was raised at a Paris-in-spring-time themed ball attended by over 300 employees, clients and suppliers. Over the last four years, GSH has raised over £75 000 for local and national charities across the UK. BCIA welcomes tougher commercial building energy standards but calls for greater ambition across the wider sector

The Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) has welcomed the government’s confirmation that privately rented non-domestic buildings over 1,000 square metres in England and Wales will be expected to achieve a minimum EPC B rating by 2031, describing the move as an important step forward in improving the energy performance of the UK’s commercial building stock.
