Stiebel Eltron harnesses solar energy

Stiebel
Efficient conversion of solar energy to domestic hot water is achieved by solar collectors from Stiebel Eltron.
Stiebel Eltron offers a range of solar systems for generating domestic hot water. They are available exclusively through Applied Energy, with a nationwide after-sales services and approved-installer network. These solar collectors utilise visible and infra-red light and can achieve a thermal efficiency of over 80%. They are suited to commercial and domestic applications. SOL 27 plus collector panels have a surface area of 2.63 m2 and can meet half the hot-water requirements of a family of four over a year. Collectors can be linked to meet higher demands. SOL 20/23 flat-plate collectors have recessed frames and integrate into the roof. They have a maximum output of 1.6 kW from an area of 2 m2, with an efficiency of around 80%. The SBB upright cylinder stores the energy gathered by the collectors. Installed in the loft, it has parallel connections for a solar heating system, condensing boiler, electric booster heater or heat pump. There are two indirect coils.
