Ferroli Partners Progress Housing Group

Ferroli
Training is an important part of the partnership between Ferroli and the property services division of Progress Housing Group to supply boilers for the refurbishment of social housing across the north west of England.
Social housing in the north west of England is being refurbished using high-efficiency boilers supplied by Ferroli. The company is working with the property services division of Progress Housing Group and is supplying condensing combination boilers from its Optimax and Maxima ranges, together with a service package that includes next-day call out, free training for Progress’s gas heating engineers and sponsorship of its apprenticeship scheme. The property services division of Progress Housing Group carries out repairs and renovations for members of the group, which manage and maintain over 4000 homes, and other housing associations and local authorities and housing associations throughout north west England. Contracts manager Dave Ashworth explains the benefits of entering into an exclusive supply agreement with Ferroli: ‘Standardising the boilers we use simplifies installation and servicing and reduces the quantity of spares our engineers have to carry around. The partnership includes a 3-year warranty and guaranteed service and support when we need it.’ Ferroli provides free installation and maintenance training for Progress Housing’s 37 CORGI registered engineers, along with training and support for the nine apprentices. Depending on the type and size of property, SEDBUK band A Optimax 25C 25 kW or higher-output Maxima 35 kW combination boilers have been installed in 250 homes so far. The property services division has also provided Optimax 25C boilers for sheltered accommodation managed by St Vincent’s Housing Association in Bolton and for social housing in Clitheroe for Ribble Valley Borough Council.
