Grundfos’s Olympic spectacular

Well over a thousand pumps have been supplied by Grundfos for facilities for one of the most significant buildings for the Olympic Games in Athens. The International Broadcasting Centre will be a hub for 21 500 of the world’s media. It is the largest broadcasting centre in the world — and the second largest building in Athens. Its 13 000 m2 comprises 50 000 m2 of studios, two symmetrical office blocks and parking for 2500 cars. To combat daytime temperatures that frequently top 40°C, the building’s air-conditioning system has nearly 60 NB end-suction and TP in-line pumps at its backbone. Other pumps and pump-solution products include AP drainage pumps and control units incorporating the G100 Gateway to control and supervise up to 32 units in any combination. uk-sales@grundfos.com
