BSRIA extends its airtightness testing service

This 90 000 m2 warehouse in Worksop was tested by BSRIA and recorded to have an air leakage of less than 3 m3/h/m2 [or 3 m/h if you are a purist for units], compared with 10 m3/h/m2 allowed by the Building Regulations.
To meet the growing demand for testing the airtightness of buildings, as required by the latest Building Regulations for commercial buildings above 500 m2 and dwellings, BSRIA’s service now operates from four locations — Bracknell, Swansea, St Helens and Belfast. The extensive fleet of ‘fan rovers’, supported by state-of-the-art blower door technology for rapidly assessing air tightness in smaller buildings provides a nationwide 24/7 service.
