Improved facilities for training installers — Ian Brookes (right), sales manager with Buderus, shows Steve Flatley, team leader of plumbing and gas at Lincoln College some of the features of five boilers that have been supplied by Buderus for the college’s training centre.
Buderus has helped equip a purpose-designed training centre at Lincoln College to provide high-quality facilities for installers and service engineers in the east of England. There are five working boilers in the centre. All are SEDBUK A-rated and represent combi, standard and system condensing technology. Each has state-of-the-art controls. The college trains around 200 heating installers a year, and Buderus expects a similar number of people to attend its training centre in addition. Key issues which they are generally keen to know more about include disposing of condensate, plume management, Part P electrical requirements and options for siting boilers.
